We would like to propose an enhancement to the current shipping address line mapping. Currently, Address Line 2 is mapped to either the "Building" or "Suburb" field, which leads to issues with certain carriers—especially Australia Post. This has caused label printing errors, particularly for services like Parcel Collect, where Australia Post has specific guidelines that are not being met.
To resolve this, we recommend adding the ability to map Address Line 2 to a dedicated field that meets Australia Post's formatting standards. This adjustment would provide several key benefits:
  1. Increased Efficiency: Automating the correct mapping of Address Line 2 eliminates the need for manual adjustments, saving valuable time for our team.
  2. Improved Accuracy: Reducing manual intervention minimizes the potential for human error, which can lead to delays, incorrect deliveries, or returns.
  3. Better Compliance: Ensuring that labels adhere to Australia Post’s guidelines improves the overall quality of service, especially for customers using Parcel Collect, helping us avoid shipping issues.
At present, our team is manually moving "Parcel Collect" into the "Company" field as a workaround, but this is time-consuming and not a scalable solution. Implementing this change would streamline the shipping process, enhance accuracy, and ensure compliance with Australia Post’s standards.
